EDWARD J. HOPKINS

Edward J. Hopkins serves as President of Shore Paralax, LLC. He was instrumental in founding the firm in 1995 and has lead it through several transitions as it entered new business categories from Executive Search to Executive Coaching to Career Transition.

Ed began his career with Johnson & Johnson where he spent 16 years with the pharmaceutical group in various senior management Marketing and Operations responsibilities. Following J&J, he joined International Hydron Corporation, a public global leader in soft contact lenses, as Vice-President, International Business Development. In that role during the early 1980s, while living and working in The People's Republic of China (PRC), he was responsible for turning the PRC on to contact lenses. He returned from China in 1986 as President, Hydron Ophthalmics and remained in that position until the company was sold to Smith Kline Beecham.

Ed joined the consulting world as Senior Vice President of Philip Crosby Associates, a leading organization in the design and implementation of Quality management programs for Fortune 500 companies. He also served as Executive Vice President of Manchester, Inc., a leading firm providing human resources services from career transition to executive coaching..

While with International Hydron Corporation, Ed spent several years in The Peoples Republic of China where he developed businesses that introduced the soft contact lens and other medical products to The PRC and other Pacific Rim markets. He returned to the U.S. and became President of Hydron's Pharmaceutical division.

Mr. Hopkins is a graduate of Seton Hall University and Fairleigh Dickinson University and holds BS, MBA and JD degrees.
